Initial Plans

Target Audience
The target audience we're looking to aim our documentary at people aged 16-19 but also, to those slightly older aged 20-25. We decided on this because the artists within the genre are about the same age and the people that go to the events/gigs/concerts who watch them are around this age. In our target audience research, we ensured that we asked people within this bracket in which 27 of the people were aged 16-19 and the other 3 were 20-25. This gave us a good idea of who would watch it and the content included that would appeal to them.

Channel

The channel that we've decided that this would be produced on is Channel Four as they have a history of screening documentaires and they have a lot of programmes that appeal to a younger audience such as Misfits, The Big Bang Theory, Made in Chelsea, etc.

Scheduling

We would ideally screen the documentary at 10:00 on a Monday because it's around the same time as other popular TV programmes within the younger generation; Misfits and Made in Chelsea, and also, it would potentially contain either alcohol consumption or foul language, so it's after the 21:00 barrier.

Title of Programme

The title of the programme that we've decided to come up with is "The Upcoming"
